The GE Money eco MasterCard offers two options for reward programs. Users may either earn a donation of 1% of their total eligible expenditure to carbon offset projects bought on Earth Day each yea, or else they may earn 0.5% cash back and donate 0.5% to carbon offset projects. This means that users can choose to have the GE Money eco MasterCard act somewhat like other credit cards with reward programs in order to give them a reward for spending or else just be a novel way of helping the environment.
